“Do not fear, My child; but remain faithful only to My grace.”
Merciful Lord, You see my desire to be faithful to the graces You offer to me; but You see, too, my failure to make good use of those graces – and sometimes, my refusal of them, even though it does not seem to me at the time that I am doing so.
Lord of all compassion, look with pity upon me in my pride, my arrogance and my conceit.
Instil within me an abhorrence for my own will, and the grace to seek only Your will in all things.
Place within my heart the spirit of true humility, the foundation stone of all the virtues, so that I can recognise my nothingness before Your infinite majesty.
In myself, I am nothing, O Lord; but Your grace is always sufficient for me – help me to remain faithful to Your grace.
