“O Living Host, my one and only strength, fountain of love and mercy, embrace the whole world, fortify faint souls. Oh, blessed be the instant and the moment when Jesus left us His most merciful Heart!”
(Words of Saint Faustina, Diary entry 223)
It is beautiful and holy to gaze with love upon an image of the Lord Jesus or His Sacred Heart. Images set our hearts alight with sentiments of faith, love and devotion. They are a great means to prayer and we can access them wherever we happen to be, whatever we happen to be doing.
But how much more beautiful to come to spend a moment with this same Lord, Who waits patiently and silently in every Tabernacle in the world.
Here, we will find the same Lord, truly present in His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. He waits there for each of us, always ready to welcome us, always ready to grant us His mercy and His graces, always waiting to shelter us in His Sacred Heart which so burns with love of us all. In that Merciful Heart we can safely place ourselves, those we love, those we are praying for, our families, our nations, the entire world.
In Him, we find our strength, our fortification, our everything.
